Her philosophy

What Laurel loves about Chinese medicine is that it puts the power back in your hands.

A diagnosis or a lab result can feel like something happening to you. TCM asks a different question: what can you actually do, starting now, to feel like yourself again? More energy, better sleep, a cycle that makes sense — that's the goal, and it's usually more reachable than people think.

So alongside acupuncture and herbs, she talks through real, livable lifestyle changes — not a total overhaul, just the specific shifts that actually move the needle for your body. And she meets you where you're at. Her job is to make the next step obvious and set you up to move in the direction that's most helpful for you!

When you meet, she'll check in by asking questions about your whole body system. She wants the full picture before she makes a plan. Right now her focus is women's health: menstrual and hormonal issues, fertility, perimenopause and menopause, and postpartum recovery.

Training

Over 1,300 supervised clinical hours, and counting.

Laurel is in the last months of her Master's in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine specialization at Pacific College of Health and Science here in NYC. This includes over 1,300 supervised clinical hours so far, between community acupuncture at OnPoint in East Harlem, working the herbal counter at KAMWO, assisting in private acupuncture practices, and a hospital rotation at Chang Gung Hospital in Taiwan.

This fall (August through December), she'll be at Yinova as a selected intern for Pacific College's externship, focusing on women's health, fertility, and reproductive health.
